MailAuditor 2002 Core |
|
Core: The core system processes files collected from your e-mail server. These e-mail messages are filed in a central repository and key data about the messages is recorded in the 'MailAuditor Master Database'. This database is used to provide access to summary and detail information about the messages that flow thru your e-mail system. The messages that are collected from your e-mail system can be processed on a schedule that you define. We suggest running the processor on a nightly basis. You have the option of running reports on an ad hoc basis or on a nightly basis. The scheduling of 'Processing' and 'Reporting' is controlled by you. The 'Processing' program contains a feature that purges the message database and corresponding messages on a regular basis based upon the age of the message. As an example you can purge messages that are older than 90 days. The messages that are controlled by the 'Processing' program are raw messages. The system attempts to collect every message that passes thru your e-mail server including those not addressed to your employees. The core system also contains a 'Browser' program. You may inquire of the message database based upon date, to, from and subject. You may sort by a number of fields in ascending or descending order. CD Archive: CD Archive provides a means of putting messages away in a 'Smart' directory structure. The data can be broken into a number of volumes of a user specified size. By limiting the size you have the ability to size your directories to fit on a CD-RW, ZIP Disk or DVD-RW drive. This program creates the directory structure and files but will not write the files to your archive media. The actual CD write process is left to you.
